A nicely balanced full-bodied Malbec. Bold flavours of blackberry and raspberry with subtle notes of oak. Recommended with grilled meats and veggies. We thought it was great with a turkey dinner too.

Today special a la carte restaurant (also AI) what calls for a nice red as we ordered as main course tenderloin which was btw really great! So what to take from the overpriced wines here? Lets go with a steak with a wine! Really nice smell of dark cherry, vanilla & chocolate. The full-bodies taste then blue berry, oak, black berry, plum and again chocolate in the nice m/m+ finish. Upside: immediately drinkable downside: the longer it is open the more acid and tannin rich it becomes

Id like to refer to my October 2015 review of a Malbec. I referred to it as an intestinal journey that ultimately ended in disappointed. I dont stand by these comments in this 2020. This isnt missionary sex. This is bondage exiting sex. Blind fold on. Blind fold off. Oh no, it went in my eye. Would drink again. Would bang again.

Winemaker says it is a basic Malbec which is true, but it doesnt degrade its virtues. Full impact on the nose, black and blue berries, smoke, hint of tar, spiciness. Palate copies these in taste surrounded by nice acidity and integrated, medium level tannins. Basic level is confirmed in thickness and finish only. Quite lean body (although very intense in taste) and medium minus length in finish. Easy drinking. blackberry oak vanilla smoke tobacco blackcurrant

Beautiful Malbec. Just how I like it. Full, juicy, not jammy, heaps of bold dark fruit. Slight spice and cinnamon with a subtle chocolate vibe. Complex but not muddled. A little more richness to add excitement would make it perfect.

Had the 2018 a while back and giving a more recent vintage a go. Needs air this but could also maybe do with a few more years. Pours that beautiful inky red colour. Dark fruit and chocolate on the nose. Rich and intense with notes of plum, clove, blackberry, mocha, chocolate, black currant and anise. Juicy tannins with a balanced acidity. Good for drinking by itself and with food. Bold finish with a lengthy aftertaste. Excellent VFM as always from this estate. Will deffo revisit this in a few years.

Our wedding red wine. Usually 9.99 from Majestic, I got this for a bargain 5.65 a bottle from Sainsburys on offer, including the 25% off for 6 x bottles. This has to be one of the best value reds I've had for nearly 10 years.

Delish. Mellow, rich and interesting. Worked magnificently with fire-grilled steak and all the simple trimmings. Made a great meal an event.
