Though it is in the unscrewcapped minority, this is a well-built Riesling, and one that somehow seems engineered to please a wide-reaching audience. It offers white peach and other subtle fruit flavors dusted with sweet talc, make no mistakeits dry, minerally mouthfeel is the key player here. Has a little spritz in the mouth, with white pepper and a burst of peach fruit on the back end.

Offers a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and a red plum-fruit core, with caramel and tobacco accents. Aromas are of figs and Indian spices; one reviewer found the fruit a bit candied. This is a very good Cab, drinkable in the near term, though not one that necessarily merits such a lofty price tag. Finishes with bitter chocolate.

The sheer layers of oak wrap up round plum, light cherry, dried tobacco and herbs. The acidity is a refreshing counterweight to the tannins and the style is elegantly simple.

The dry nose of thyme and oregano lets the fresh flavors of red plum and currant carry the punch, with a leathery dried-herb finish providing follow through. Balancing the fruit are forward tannins and soft acids.

Muskmelon and lime flavors start off tasting sweet, but are quickly reined in by brisk acidity, finishing chalky and tart. This is a fine Riesling, yet slightly disappointing in the context of previous vintages.

A well-balanced and straightforward wine, the Tintara is medium-bodied and creamy in the mouth, with stone fruit and vanilla flavors. Butterscotch, and maybe some nuttiness, wraps it up on the finish.

An approachable wine that starts off with floral, peachy aromas and ripe peach and yellow fruit flavors. On the back palate, there's a burst of tropical fruit, plus some oak. Easy to drink, and easily to like.

Hard to get lushness and complexity into a Chard at this price, but this wine tries hard. It's a cool climate wine, to judge from the crisp, upfront acidity. Flavors veer toward apples and citrus fruits, and if there's any oak, it doesn't show. Finishes clean and lean.

The insubstantial nose of this wine is spotted with dried herbs, baking spices and a whiff of pickle jar. The palate is thin, the tannins are sheer, but the flavors are of sweet, fresh red plum and cinnamon.

Tastes like a little country wine you came across while traveling the back roads. Rough in texture, with berry flavors, and very dry, it's a little like a rustic Cabernet.

Maybe southern Oregon is too hot for white wines; at least it appears to be based on this flat, rather lifeless offering. The nose is like applesauce, while the palate is bland and lazy, with only a modicum of grapefruit working in its favor. A little banana and citrus pith on the finish save it from a worse fate.

Just like the barely drinkable regular release, only with an overlay of oak. Smells vegetal, and the thin flavors veer toward grapefruit.

Aromas of jalapeno peppers, thistle and pine needles raise questions about ripeness while not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. That said, the wine is surprisingly sweet, with orange and lemon flavors. Finally, a thick texture runs in contrast to the lean nose, ultimately leaving one confused and asking: Is this really Sauvignon Blanc?
