I love a good Cab Sauv & California wines are normally big & bold so had high hopes for this one......Boy it didn't disappoint. A lovely dark berry flavour with bits of spice & dark chocolate going on. Very smooth & surprisingly complex. Great value at 7!!

The third year in a row... And always a big pleasure. Great, rich, deep, soft and dense experience without being extremely dense etc. Very well balanced. Great with red meat, evenly enjoyed on its own.

Blackberry, and spice on the nose with a hint of black cherries. Rolls on the tongue with a fairly mild roughness, although it may get smoother with age. Black cherry comes through more on the palate to match the strength of the blackberry, eventually overtaking it slightly, with the spice coming in later, with a not too long finish reminiscent of dark chocolate and espresso. Not bad, but doesn't feel very memorable.

Dark fruits on the nose, dried plum and blackberry, with hints of oak spice. Medium to full bodied with soft, smooth tannins with a little backbone and moderate acidity. Dried plum continues on the palate with hints of baking spice through the medium finish. Not bad for the price.

Supermarket in Saint Lucia...lucky dip and given what I was staring at this is a find! Basically a drinkable cab sav, some cherry, light for the grape but drinking young and low alcohol. Will try a few more of these before I brave another guess... although I think I had this in a hotel in the states which is what drew me to it. Was about $10usd

Better than expected. Blackberry and liquorice drive this wine, delicate spices show off on finish, delicate tannins. Bit too high on alcohol or maybe not acidic enough. 8 pounds for Cali cab is a fair deal.

Cant believe this is under $10. Very dry, slightly acidic. Perfect amount of tannins. Not as bold as a $30 wine, but great value.
